"Valmir was always a very strong contributor, often going above and beyond. He took on a leadership role throughout the project during planning meetings with the TA and Instructor. Overall, a very strong teammate and I'd gladly work with him again." — MECH 328 teammate"Widely considered the leader of the group — a large part of our success is attributed to Val's leadership. Despite a busy term, Val consistently put in work managing the team, finding information, developing solutions and satisfaction criteria. I'm very glad to have Val in the group." — MECH 325 teammate"Valmir has done an excellent job keeping the team organized and on track, taking initiative to manage our schedule, book meetings, and lead progress updates. His work on the presentation slides was exceptional — very polished and professional — and recognized by Dr Pete and the TAs for standing out." — MECH 328 teammate "Valmir was always a very strong contributor, often going above and beyond. Mini Cooper — Maintenance

Repair & Restoration
Front Suspension Replacement
Clean InstallRoad Validated
Why

Right front strut seal failed. Went DIY over the dealer to learn the system and hand-pick the components.

Process

Pulled the wheel, disconnected the brake line and ABS, unbolted the strut, and safely swapped in a new Bilstein with the OEM spring.

Result

Validated on a Lethbridge → Whistler road trip. Cleaner damping through highways and passes, no vibrations, no instability.

Interior Repair
Door Handle Disassembly
Clean RepairNo Parts Used
Why

Interior handle stopped working. Wanted to diagnose the root cause before throwing parts at it.

Process

Pulled the door trim cleanly, disassembled the handle mechanism, and traced the failure to a misrouted cable and failed clip seat.

Result

Handle restored to full function — no new parts, no broken clips. Fixed through methodical disassembly and diagnosis.
